In this paper, based on variational methods and critical point theory, we guarantee the existence of infinitely many classical solutions for a two-point boundary value problem with fourth-order Sturm-Liouville equation; Some recent results are improved and by presenting one example, we ensure the applicability of our results.

In this paper we study, analytically and numerically, the existence and blow up of solutions to two dimensional boundary value problems of the form ∆uλ = 0 in Ω, ∂uλ/∂n = Duλ + λf(uλ) on ∂Ω. We place particular emphasis on f(u) = sinh(u) = e u−e−u 2 , in which case the nonlinear flux boundary condition is frequently associated with the names of Butler and Volmer.

The existence of infinitely many solutions is established for a class of nonlinear functionals involving the p-biharmonic operator with nonhomoge- neous Neumann boundary conditions. Using a recent critical-point theorem for nonsmooth functionals and under appropriate behavior of the nonlinear term and nonhomogeneous Neumann boundary conditions, we obtain the result.

In this paper, by using C-sequentially sign property for bifunctions, we provide sufficient conditions that ensure the existence of solutions of some vector equilibrium problems in Hausdorff topological vector spaces which ordered by a cone. The conditions which we consider are not imposed on the whole domain of the operators involved, but just on a locally segment-dense subset of the domain.
